Why don’t you just talk about mutual interests? Tell her what your favorite classes are and ask her what her favorite classes are. Tell her about your last report card and maybe tell her that you might want to try to improve on your grade (if your grades need improving).

Sounds like being around her, you just get nervous and don’t know what to say. That is why when a subject of mutual interest comes up, you have to explore it. Ask her to the movies. Ask her to go for a walk in the park with you. Ask her to go the library if necessary to study together. Then in casual conversation mention or ask if she might see your friendship evolving into something more personal between you two. And by personal, you mean would she ever consider being your sweetheart or girlfriend. I know it’s corny advice but I think you get the idea and you will come up with a much better idea or way to hook up with this girl.
