How do I file for Bankruptcy?

I have so much debt and horrendous credit that I figure the only way to get rid of it is to file bankruptcy and wait 7 years for it to clear off my record… I want to be debt free with good credit before I turn 40… I will be 31 next week so I have 9 years to clear everything up.

I don’t know how to go about filing bankruptcy… can I do it myself? or do I have to get a lawyer? Any idea on the cost? I don’t have a whole lot of extra money after rent, bills & food so I wouldn’t be able to pay a high price for this… what is the difference between the two types of bankruptcy? I know one you have to pay back and one you don’t but I don’t know how that all works… are there stipulations? Does one take longer to come off your record than the other does? I just don’t know how to get started and file for as little as possible monetarily… I want to get rid of all my debt and start fresh but where do I begin?

Any ideas?

You don’t need a lawyer. You can download the forms to file for bankruptcy in your state at http://www.legalformsbank.biz/bankrup… and just follow the filing instructions.
