Where were you?

It all depends on whats wrong with it. Does the pump run? If so you might need to clean or change the sand point. Some times if you let it freeze the seals will crack in the pump and have to be replaced. Since you did not specify what the problem is that is about all that I can say for now. Hope this helps :-)
hi, sorry about the delay in replying, the pump runs, sometimes, if you leave a tap running it will stay on for alot longer, when i turn the tap off, the pump goes off, and then i have to unplug it and plug it back in 30 times for it to come back on again, when im doing this it makes a very short plunge sound….any ideas?
ive had the pump apart, checked the seals (nothing ever freezes here, its quite warm in mallorca) the covers covers which come off the pump dont really seem to have any servicable parts underneath.

theres a link to what it looks like if that will help?
thankyou so much…
Some times the connectors that regulate the pressure get stuck. Make sure that the power is off and open the cover where the wires go in. You should see a set of points an arm and a spring. With the power off push the arm in tords the points and see if it moves easily if not get some WD40 and spray the hinge and the spring then try moving the arm into and away from the points, it should move smoothly and make a little click when engaged and disengaged. If that doesn’t work that will be the part that you have to replace to make your pump run right. Hope this helps :-)

Hello to all. i desperately need your help.
As i am a woman, technicians have always found it easy to laugh at my expense, literally.
6 months ago some expert company installed a water pump (connected to the water tank)at my flat, which caused the electric water heater to break as it was not made to work in connection to a water pump!!
I installed a new heater and then the pump started making a strange noise while working (as if something was blocking it) and then it shortcut the electric supply. i tried to restart it, checked that there was water in it and nothing blocked the pipes, but again there was an electric shortcut.
The guy who came to fix it said that the pump has no cover from the rain and the humidity, water has gone in it and burned it!! he also told me that there is nothing to be done, but to replace the pump. is that true?
Also the new electric water heater i had installed never worked!! for the last 6 months i either have no running water or no hot water….although…i pay dearly for it!!
Can someone help me pleaseeeee?
First thing is your water heater and your water pump on the same power line or fuse? There not supposed to be. Not sure what type of pump you have but most have a water reserve tank (mounted to the bottom of the pump) with a ballast balloon inside so that the water pressure is constant at start up and shutdown. Most water pumps here have that tank and are not connected directly to the water heater without it. You can replace the motor on the pump if that is what the problem is you do not have to replace everything. Make sure that your pump is grounded properly and also your fuse box. These pumps should last for years without any problems also if you pump is exposed to the elements you should make a cover for it just to protect it. Hope this helps :-)
Thank you so much for your immediate response and help!
No, they are on different fuses. I switch on the water heater, but no matter how long I wait no hot water runs!!
You are correct that is the kind of system we have. In Cyprus (that’s where I live) we have a shortage of water, therefore, we only have running water 3 times/week.
So, just to make sure that I got it correctly; I can replace just the motor of the pump and not the whole pump if that is ‘burned’ so to speak??
Thank you :-)
