I suggest that you look into selling your house if you cannot afford to pay for it. Once you get behind you will not catch up again. See if you children will not buy it from you so that you can keep it in the family. You can take the money that you get and find a smaller house or an apt that you can afford. Hope this helps :-)

I’m in your shoes and completely understand. Are you in the USA? I found a wonderful program through the Federal Agriculture Dept. They helped me buy my first house and my payments were only around $200.00. There are now allot of Grandparents raising grandkids, and there is allot of help out there. HUD, SRS, AARP knows about reverse mortgages. I know it’s hard but be strong and knock on every door out there. You can’t get the answers you want if you don’t ask enough people. Good luck!!!

the government is going to own everything if they continue to push the people into poverty by taking everypeny we own in one way or another. People are living with brainwashing advertisements and news (any media is a form of brainwashing) to the point of absolute despair. Reform is needed now to help all the down and betroden. Equal Rights needs to be applied in its true meaning - soon.

I am the 54 year old in need of help with mortgage if i had a big huge house i would sell even if the economy now would not be good for selling i live in a 2-bedroom mobile home and had to add a 3rd bedroom as i said i have two granchildren i am raising this is not a joke i am into a mortgage of 142,000 as i tried to help some of my family out and got into deep,if i had family that would help i would not be in this kind of debt.
I am trying to knock on every door and be strong i am just getting so depressed,i don’t regret helping the people out just wish my grandkids and i would not be losing our home because of it,a home i had paid off for 6 years it is very frustrating.Thank you
