Anyone know of a good way to patch a radiator hose?

It’s about 3.5″ or so, do you think just duck tape will be enough to last a 3-4 hour drive?

This says you can use duct tape for a very temporary patch.

Thanks, it’ll be an interesting venture home from school, where it will be much warmer and more pleasant to give it a permanent fix

The glue on duct tape melts so it might help to wrap it around more than 3 or 4 times.

Like, maybe 10 or 20? The adhesive still melts and gets gooey, on hot things, but it might work fine. Or tie some string or something around the duct tape.

I was thinking maybe an old piece of bike tube wrapped in duct tape than a couple of hose clamps

The heat comes from any liquids that try to escape. But at worst just pull over after driving a while and make sure whatever you did is secure.
