I feel like I’m crazy!

It changes day to day. One day I’m happy and carefree, the next I’m depressed and anxious. I’m married with four children and I just want to be a good mom and wife. I’m a stay-at-home mom right now. When I’m home all day and my husbands at work, I feel so lonely and my mind never stops. I worry about everything. I left my job this summer. I was constantly feeling guilty for leaving the kids. I know it’s best for me to be home with them, but I don’t know how to stop worrying all day. Does anyone else feel this way? Sometimes I think I’m bipolar. What are the symptoms?

i got diagnosed with bipolar disorder about 3 years ago. and from what i’ve gone through, it really sounds like you might have it. there are a few different sites online that if you go to them you can take surveys. then, you can print up the surveys and bring them with you when you go to the doctor. ever since i’ve been on medication life has been so much easier. i still have hard days every once in a while, but in general…life rocks. don’t think that being diagnosed makes you “crazy” and you definitely shouldn’t feel guilty or weird or wrong. it takes a brave and strong person to go to the doctor and say “i need help”. your family will appreciate it to. make sure to tell your dr everything though. at first i was misdiagnosed as depressed, and the anti-depressant they gave me made my high and low cycles even worse. be as honest as you can be, and don’t wait! you can go to your primary care dr ASAP, and they can refer you to a psychiatrist. you deserve to have a happy and normal life, don’t be afraid to go out and get treatment.
