Im getting married in a month..moving to a new apartment..excited..I got her a jack russell for a wedding gift..Love the puppy..very difficult ..needs lots of attention and time..I got tired and returned it to the breeder. Im soo sad because I miss him..My home feels empty..I cant stop thinking about him..Beautiful face..Breeder gave me a week to change my mind..Is the love I have for this dog more important? should I keep him? Im soo confused..

What are you waiting for GO GET THE DOG BACK. It is obvious that you like the dog. Yes the love for the dog is more important then you feeling sad that the dog is gone
But what about the brand new marriage and the hard work it is to keep a puupy?
Things that are worth it are always the ones that are the most difficult.
Just to let you know….the puppy will always make you smile…even when your sad…
Hey trust me it is possible.
I am only 19 and I just started my 2nd year in college (away from home). I had to move into a whole new place and i am also a full time student w/ many school commitments and everything but I adopted to Siberian Huskies and honestly those are the only things that keep me sane
(and we all know Siberian Huskies require A LOT of attention)
Is it a puppy? You know puppies are very difficult to handle. Should I just get the dog back? Maybe I’ll surprise her with it this week. The entire family is asking that I dont get itback.
What would make you happier? The puppy or keeping the family happy?
If it makes you happy then they should be happy for you.
Yea these are puppies 3 months old and VERY, VERY, VERY active.
Get the dog back. Your family will not be living with you and your wife so they should not have any say so in whether you get the dog back or not
Yes, but waht about the attention hey require? You might not have my scedule. I work from 9 to 5. How do you do it? Are you home in the morning or during he day? Do you go out at night? When do you give them attention? Im getting married! do I need this now? I love him though.
Also, when he is not here I miss him like crazy. But when he was here, it was very stressful.
GET THE DOG BACK…..
My classes are from 8-3…….I wake up at 6:30 am just to spend time with them because I know I will be gone; I will go on a walk/run with them. When I get back we go back outside for maybe 30minutes to an hour and while we are inside, they just run around and stuff like that
I spend as much time as I possibly can with them; if I go to a store or something I’ll let them ride along etc….
btw the dog can actually help the marriage more too because it will require you and her to spend more time together. For instance you two can walk the dog together (time that you and her may have never spent together)
Of course you are going to be stress out esp. with your wedding and with this potentially being your 1st dog by yourself….(its kinda like baby blues as they say)
because I wanted to take the dogs back too; so I let my parents keep them but I felt the same way as you and I did not fell better until I got them back….
maybe you could get the dog back and show your future wife the dog as soon as you go pick it back up instead of waiting a week.
Trust me if you do not go get this dog back you won’t feel any better anytime soon
Wow, I guess you do understand what it is like tohave a puppy. Are you in an apartment or a house? By the way his name is miles.:^)
Not really a house or apartment; I guess you can call it a townhouse…Miles great name (havent heard too many dogs named that)
So your going to get the dog back right
Your advice has hlped me and given me comfort. I think thats why we are all here. But ultimately, I think we always end up doing what we want deep down inside. I haven’t figured it out yet. My future wife says she’s okay with it and that its for the best, but I think she does it for me. I’ll probably get it back. I wish I could let you know if I did or did not in a few days.
Congratulations in advance for the wedding.
Go get the puppy back. You obviously love the puppy. It deserves an owner who feels sad when they’re apart. I bet it was hard for you because you had to adjsut tot eh responsibilities that comes with having a pet. I bet you can work a system and make a good schedule so that you can squeeze in a puppy in your life.
My brother brought home a Japanese Spitz this July. I thought it was a bad idea and now I ended up being the closest to the pup. I love it and it keeps me sane too. It’s name is Oreo. Your dog’s name is Miles? Is it a female or a male?
Male Jack Russell. Just like they can be stressful they can all also be stress relievers. I prayed to god that he would help me make a good choice. I met you today so I hope its a sign. However, you are rather young and that may be a factor. It alot harder when you are older. Im twenty seven but Th edifference between you and me is almost a decade. You learn alot evryday of your life.

Yea your right I am young but look at it this way I am 19 living on my own basically taking 5 classes at my college and everything (many school things I have to do), have to hang out with friends, have to go out on weekends sometimes, just having the college experience but somehow in the mist of all of this I have been able to find the time and “love” to care for the two dogs I have. (Now isn’t that kinda much for a 19 year old) If I can do it I am sure you and your wife will be great dog parents…
you can let me know just reply to your post once you have gotten the dog back and i will get an email letting me know about your post and I’ll read it to see what happened
Thanks. You will make a great (blank ) someday. Sorry I dont know your career choice.lol. You were of great help to me. Thanks. Best of luck in everything that you are doing. Ill get back to you soon.
Thank you pink sparkle for your advice. Ill sleep on it. I hope I can make a wise decision.
Thanks, it was nice talking to you. Ironically I am going to school to become an attorney but everyone has been telling me I need to go into something like psychology (counseling or something)
Hey, consider it. But Im sure you have to be someone who is ok with listening to peoples problems for the rest of your life. Forget law, you’ll be so stressed. You will have lots of money though. I teach fifth grade it fun and lots of time off, but bad pay!
Yeah, that sucks because teachers do SO much but they are rarely thanked for the work that they do. Teachers should be paid a lot more than they do right now,
Yeah, the thing is I kinda know that when I finally get my law degree I will never actually practice law.
I have always wanted to be a lawyer but as I said I know I will probably never practice law but I think I am sticking to it because I am not able to figure out what I can do (I know I want to help people but I am unsure on how I can help)so i guess I am sticking to something I know until I figure it out….

Most welcome. Let’s hope for that.
By the way, when you want to do something, you’ll find a thousand ways to do it and make it work. If you don’t want to do something, you’d find a thousand reasons why not to do it. Listen to your heart because it it is the heart that knows what to do to make you happy. Of course, your brain deserves a say too.
Give my regards to Miles. :)
go get the puppy. animals are great to have. just make sure you two can take good care of it, but it sounds like you already fell in love with it! =)
