If you haven’t seen a doctor you really should, especially since you are coughing.

In the meantime, the coughing is probably making your throat worse. Try a cough suppressant to reduce the coughing, and your throat might feel better. Depending on what is causing the sore throat, gargling with warm salt water might help too.

salt water gargling will relieve any infection. If you can’t handle that, try gargling with dissolvable asprin in water.

Drink hot water with a wedge of fresh lemon or lime, the citrus will provide vitamin C, and also it has soothing and medicinical effects. Fruit juice will be good for you too, but dilute it in hot water, as the cold and too much sugar in the juice will irritate your throat. Oh and avoid milk at all costs, if you have an infection, milk encourages the mucus and you’ll end up with catarrh

hope you get better soon!
