it depends on whose fault it is. but in the most case they shouldnt charge cuz your body is at risk.

They shouldn’t. They are already at fault for doing a half a** piercing job.

Did you keep the stud in place while it healed ? a hole shouldn’t heal if something is in it should it ?

i don’t think the piercing job was bad, i think it was just because my lip was swollen for a couple days and it might have healed then

and that’s why they shouldn’t have pierced your lip with a stud to begin with. Rule of thumb among the more snobbish professionals is that you pierce with a ring until it is healed. then the client can put in a stud if they so choose. this is why.

Gypsy’s right usually you have a ring to turn while it heals, then once healed you can wear the stud,Mmm sounds like they are at fault to me.

Well they should have told you it would heal better with the ring, silly people Tsk!

That’s so frustrating. In cases when they do use studs to pierce such as the tongue, they make sure it is long enough to accommodate for swelling. My tongue rings were an inch, four years later they are a quarter inch. see what I’m getting at?

I’ve had my lip pierced multiple times.

Was the stud too small? That’s the only way I can see the skin healing over it.
Anyway, go to the place where you got it done and they should help you.

At any rate, they are probably going to tell you that they can’t cut it out and that you have to go to a doctor.

When I got mine pierced with a ring last time (or CBR) my lip basically refused to heal. :/ Weird.
