Prejudice is crap. I have no issues with Jews. My friend is Jewish. She’s just like everyone else.
**** the stupid stuff they say about them.

Who blames the Jews?

We have our share of racists in Australia, but anti-Jew isn’t a common one I don’t think.

I think its something to do with them believing that they are the chosen ones and so a bit better than the rest of people and that they have been pretty good at making money maybe out of money lending?

Whetever they have had a pretty hard time.

Well the original christian argument is that they killed christ. When pontus pilate offered them the choice of sparing jesus or barabus (sp?) they chose the latter. Also theres that whole thing with the jew who bullies christ as he carries the cross, the one who will later become the ‘wandering jew’. Then essentially they became the scapegoats for European powers for a very long time, it was easy to use them, they were often a very private community who were very successful as merchants etc. so when everyones starving in your kingdom and looking for someone to blame, you picked the jews.

Just look at the merchant of venice by shakespeare, the book was so popular at the time because to the audience it seems to be the rightous christians besting the shrewd money lending jew.
