When we captured enemies we couldn’t interogate them without their lawyers present so we weren’t able to get the info we needed to prevent further attacks. Oh wait, that wasn’t wwi, that’s now. Sorry.

WW1? very little, given the late entry to the war they missed the worst of the trench warfare. Really it was more the fact that theyd joined which accelerated the german defeat as theres no way the germans could keep fighting once the americans had joined. Id imagine if nothing else it would more have to do with logistical issues, as in, getting all those soldiers over to Europe
