Anyone know about head pain?

So I have been having head pain issues for about three years now. I’m 17 and so my parents won’t listen when I tell them my concerns. I haven’t been to a doctor about it. I’m worried that something may really be wrong with me, like a tumor or some nerve disease. I’ve been doing research lately and my symptoms relate a lot to Chronic Cluster Headaches. Apparently they are rare, especially for teens, which makes me think that it is something else. The thing is, it has been getting worse. I really should see a doctor, I think, but my parents just won’t listen! Does anyone know what it could be?

my symptoms: Extremely sharp, quick pain behind my eyes and at my temples. Sometimes the pain continues on into the back of my neck and into my spine. It occurs suddenly, without any warning, and doesn’t last terribly long, but comes and goes between 8 and 10 times a day. I am not really effected by light, but noise can sometimes bother me, though rarely. Really, it’s just the pain that is killing me. I can’t concentrate and I just want to scream. At the headache’s peak, my head will throb to a point where, sometimes, I’ll start cringing and also hitting my head, like trying to beat the pain away. And it comes and goes, but I haven’t been keeping track, so. . .But I have a hard time sleeping too. Though, I have been having trouble with an eating disorder and depression, so it may be from that.

I don’t know, I just need help! It just hurts SO badly.

Thanks a bunch

I just skimmed the post, sorry, but could it be migraines? You should see a Dr about it, especially if you’ve had them for a while.

Does your school have a nurse? Actually, I think at 17, you can go to the ER on you own and get checked out (but don’t quote me). Bad headaches can be very serious, you really need to get them checked out. But don’t panick, or they’ll probably get worse from stress.

Hey i have had that same problem before. I had that pain but then it turned to cronic migranes. I had gone to several doctors and seen a neurolgist but nothing helped until i went to a chiropractor. The problem is the bones in your spine get crushed and it needs to get adjusted! everytime i get that feeling i go to the chrio and get adjusted it really helps. Just a thought, but defintly go do something about it you dont want it to get worse!

i have to say that i live with constant daily migraines… for the past few years.. my problem was a herniated/fractured disk in my neck… i have gotten that fixed.. however, the migraines are even more painful now… i actually went to the dr’s the other day in which he found that my eyes are now not dilating… so he is sending me for brain scans to figure out why i keep getting these migraines…

really, your parents should not put this off… it could be something serious..
also, do you wear glasses? my daughter use to get daily headaches and such.. i took her to the eye dr and she needed glasses…

I have those sometimes. The doctor told me they were called ice pick headaches. Nothing to really worry about. I used to get them all the time when I was younger, but am 28 now and haven’t gotten them in the a few years. a href=”http://www.austin-apt-locator.com”>Austin Apartments /a>
