I got my laptop back form geeksquad and it has no operating system on it.

I used the one for my desktop (gateway) it gets halfway done and says”windows cannot install required files. The file does not exist. Make sure all files required for installing are available. Restart the install. Error code 0×00700002″ then I press ok another message pops up ” Windows cannot access the install sources. Verify that the installed sources are accessible” So I restart it and it says to pick a driver and it doesn’t give me an option of which driver to use so I browse and nothing is there. Can you help me PLEASE?

Take it back and get it fixed. If you keep messing with it then they will say you did it. Next time they say its fixed turn it on right there before you take it home. Hope this helps :-)

they said i have to pay over 200 for them to fix even though i didnt do it

You cant use the gateway disk on your laptop. Try a system restore press F10 or F11 at boot and see if it is still there. If you want to install a new system go and buy one xp pro should cost about $150 or xp home $100 vista will cost more around $160 for home edition. Hope this helps :-)
