Who agrees Bush deserves to go to Guantanomo Bay?

His torture can consist of eating pretzels, getting shot in the face by his collegues and any other torture he authorized to be use on terrorists to get information out of them. Doesn’t he fulfill his own definition of terrorism? It only makes sense, doesn’t it?

U.S. Government under Bush’s definition of terrorism: …activities that involve violent… or life-threatening acts… that are a violation of the criminal laws of the United States or of any State and… appear to be intended

Bush is a lame duck. You would lower yourself to violent means for what purpose? to what end? Might I recommend to the USA that we focus not on vindictive actions against a failed government but rather we focus now on a government that promises many many things without putting us further in debt… Let’s support the good… work for NOW, let yesterday go the way of all yesterdays.

I do not believe GW Bush needs to be tortured.

Bright blessings ~ Richard

If he committed war crimes (and that’s a big if) there should be a trial. There’s not a chance of that happening, so it’s a moot point. One of Obama’s greatest strengths is that he has the potential to unite the US in a way that hasn’t happened since World War II. A huge high-profile political trial would be exactly what the country doesn’t need. IMHO it would be the end to peaceful transitions of power.

So then if (and that’s a big if) other people committed war crimes and they were sent to Guantanamo, then why don’t they get a trial?

I don’t believe in torture or in violence, my point was how foolish and hypocrytical Bush’s policies were, that under his own terms he would be a terrorist and subject to the very torture he authorized. I think it’s ironic.

A lot of you may not agree but I bet there are quite a few guys in Guantanomo Bay that deserve to be there and if you knew what they were like and the things they have done I doubt that you would have much sympathy for them.

On the other hand the use of torture on the innocent is not excusable by any measure. Does Bush deserve to go there? Not really. The world is a cold, mean place and sometimes reality necessitates harsh actions on the part of good people in order to attain the best outcome for the people that depend on them.

George W. Bush is a former president of the United States, therefore, it would a mere crime to have him trasnferred to a prison camp. The possibility of his actions inciting a trial would be a fluke at best. Even then, he is incisive enough to plead his own case and represent himself for the trial duration. It would take an enormous calvary in order to indict him with any misconduct. My humble opinion.

I agree that his presidency has done more to erode the civil liberties of everyone, in America as well as abroad.
