play help: Okay, this is probably not as big as other people’s problems… - Help.com

Okay, this is probably not as big as other people’s problems…

But if you have read “Antigone”, I need help figuring out a good metaphor/simile for the character of the messenger. It doesn’t have to be lofty, but whatever the item/idea for the simile/metaphor is, it has to represent his characteristics.

I already have previous options, but the more, the better.

Thanks in advance!

I’m skimming through Edith Hamilton’s version of Antigone in her Mythology and I find no mention of a messenger.
Do you mean Teiresias, the prophet to the royal family?

hmm a messenger ?
i have another version and im not sure it is the play youre talking about
the three theban plays (contains antigone) translated by robert flages
and think that it may be teirisias
or the sentry who brought antigone to creon at the beggining
but he wasnt really a messenger
so perhaps it might be
hope it helped ..
