Does anyone remember…
..
Hello good people.
I really enjoyed the response I got to my post, ‘Things you do don’t see any more’
So I’m going to do another one, that is similar, but different (Like Canadian Club hehehe)
This one is “Does anyone remember”
It works likes this.
I say something that I remember that seems to be one of those things, that has disappeared into the obscurity of time passed by…
And nobody will even think about it until their memory is jogged.
The result in theory is that people will say “Oh yeah….. man… I remember that! Wow, hadn’t thought about that for years.!”
And then whatever related personal memories come back as a result.
Post whatever you like that’s fun, or historically significant, or just your experience of that thing.
My first three are a bit random
And I’ve been thinking about them recently….
1) The board game equable. It was like scrabble but instead of words you do sums.
2) Poleconomy. It was a weird monopoly-like game with companies instead of streets, and on payday, you could go to the race-track.
3) Cardboard Death-star playset. It was a hemi-spherical playset for the original Star Wars action figures, and it came with little clear plastic stands that you could stick in the holes on the figures feet. Yes that’s what those holes were for! My research indicates that the playset was only available in places like Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. I don’t think the playset had a US release!
Please don’t post things that aren’t really in your memory ;)

Anyone remember those candies, Warheads?
Yes, I remember our snack machine at school would always sell out of them in one day.
Awesome candy, indeed.

They were the harshest! I took a dare once… stuck four blue ones in my mouth at once. I burned my mouth.
Just thinking about it makes my tonsils twitch.

That’s the idea.
Such blatant hijackery… hehehe
Now what was that game called with the big whale or shark, and you had to fish inside its mouth to get things like the boot, an achor, and other stuff out?
Its an oldie, because my brother who is 44 had it.
I say it in Toys ‘R’ Us recently.
Agypt without the Piramyds…
Germans without Sauerkraut..

oooohh, harsh! but i can never understand why you’d build a city on the delta of a massive river, seems a bit daft…

Why did I f******** bother?
Seems a few people want to be smart-as*es…
Seems some people have gone a bit loopy after that stupid attention seeking post from a few hours ago!
