iTunes Folders help

I was looking through my computer and trying to get rid of things that were just taking up space and happened across my iTunes folder in Program Files. There are like 48 image files in there that I’ve never seen before. Are these images really necessary for iTunes or can I just delete them?

if they are linked to video or image files in your itunes library removing them may corrupt that video or image …they may also be album art…try to find out why they are there and what they are of before deciding wether or not they’re important
