death help: Only four days left until Christmas, and I still can’t find a way to feed my son. - Help.com

Only four days left until Christmas, and I still can’t find a way to feed my son.

I’m so tired of the constant struggle just to stay alive. I wish I could just give up, but it would destroy my son, and I believe that if you kill youeself, you go to hell. So, I just feel stuck. I can’t solve anything, and I can’t quit! It’s driving me crazy!!!

You need to go out and find yourself some work. Go to your local command labor and get some temp work. You can set it up to get paid daily. This way you will be able to buy some food. Hope this helps :-)

I am on full, permanent disability. I get SSI, but my car broke down and cost me $800 to get fixed. I found a food bank, but they’re overwhelmed right now, due to so many people being out of work. I am not physically able to go to the soup kitchens on a regular basis. I’ll be OK once I get caught up. It took everything we had just to pay the rent and utilities. We cut out anything we could live without, like cable, newspaper, etc. We’re used to living on a small, fixed income, but when the car broke down, it really put us behind. It’s just a matter of getting through until my SSI comes. I’m just venting right now. It’s just the idea of Christmas coming and knowing that we won’t even have any food. We can live without presents, but hearing your child say “I’m hungry”, and not being able to do anything about it is depressing. We just have to hang in there for another week.
