Ok, so I’m going to a joint New Years and 16th Party at the end of the month and I don’t know how to have my hair?

My hair is about an inch longer than shoulder-length and is brown (if that helps at all?!). I’m wearing a black dress, black tights and heels so I need something that will go with that. I more or less always have my hair straightened and down so I could do with something other than that. I just want something that will make me look nice and make others think ‘wow’ (because I never look nice usually, lol). I know this isn’t majorly important, but I just need a few ideas. Any given are appreciated ^^.
