I really need some advises.
I am 36. I and my family (wife and 2 children) are living in Dubai for a few years now. We (me and my wife) have our own company and we work togethrt, we got a lovely home, cars and office. We are making enough money to live free and happy now.
However, we always have some issues being Iranian: we have some great ideas of new businesses (such as a kids weekly magazine), but we cannot do them since we are Iranian and because of bans and sanctions. We cannot travel freely, and if something bad happens to us, we cannot defend ourself with authorities or win in the court because of being Iranian.
Recently, I got a job in London, UK. The job is a dream job for many, with a very reputable company. But they are not paying very good. (at least as I can get in Dubai for the same), and we downgraded our entire life.
Beside the pay the job is a full time one, so I am loosing many of our businesses we have made. The realy bold point of the job is that if I stay on it, I will be able to change our nationality afer about 5.5 years so me and my children would be free afterward, to travel and live free of hassles and preform any business they may like.
Now we get back to move our Dubai home to London, once more I am in deep doubt: should we loose all the we got during these years? should I give up our lovely home? the peace we had here? And stay Iranian hoping that things stay nice forever?
or… should we leave them behind, heading for a new life, not being able to do my own business, hoping to get a new citizenship to make our future a bit more secure?
We really love our home and we really feel not very well to move out, but we also need to be sure of our kids secure future. and 5.5 years is not a very short time. In the same time, we want to realize our business dreams before we die, which are not possible to do so as Iranian. Unfortunately.
I dont have any one wise enough, to ask advises, around us.
Therefore, what would you say?
Thanks
