I started a company, we have developed a technology that can produce very large quantities of clean energy with a low-cost, not polluting fuel.
We have been negotiating with investors for about a year. They are working on a Letter of Intent (LOI) for investment into our company. The keep saying that they will deliver the LOI as soon as possible, but they never give a date. We can demonstrate that the technology is viable, but we are under strict confidentiality requirements. We are in need of funding to continue operations.

Where were you?
You can also watch events on Help.com as they happen
Oh yeah. lol, well let me give you all my money then. Problemn solved. You wouldn’t happen to be Nigerian would you?
No, I’m not Nigerian. I am presently in Lake Tahoe, NV.
My business partner is in Bellinghame, WA.
what about venture capitalist ? rather than going on a forum and looking like a set of clowns??
VC’s generally will not sign confidentiality agreements. I just wanted to see a few quick responses.
if you don’t have the loi then why not seek other avenue’s from different companies and let that company know you are looking if they are still interested then they may want to hurry it along

that was uncalled for
@berta
not really given the number of people on the tap for money. If the project was that serious then asking for money on a forum is not a good way to present it.
No serious business would act in that way. When I needed capital for an idea I didn’t post to forums, I went to businesses that were established that could aide me and benefit from the investment.
I have a successful web development company and several other projects due to start this year so know a little about business. What is it you do ???
Yes, the Law Firm that we are working with is starting negotiations with other investors, one who is part of a hedge fund that invests in energy related technologies. Confidentiality is a significant issue on this. It is built off of a DOD project.

try to help people not criticize them. if you don’t wanna help then don’t log on
We are doing all of that as well. Must be private funding, no public companies. I am a physicist. Again, I just wanted a few quick responses. I went to google and typed “help” and here I am.
Congrats on your new companies.
@djanie
it was not a personal insult, rather than a description of how asking for captial for what could be a major development, on a forum makes you look is all.
I did not take offense.
anyways it sounds as though you are doing all you can do with out going public with your info. good luck and sorry I couldn’t be more help
Freke this is not the only post you have contaminated with your negativity and the moderators will decide if you stay
@brenda
I wasnt critising, if you dont understand the fundementals of a subject I suggest you dont post to it either. I was simply pointing something out from a business point of view!
lol brenda, berty, berta whatever.
Please don’t argue about something off topic here.
I assume if the technology is unique you have patented it!
Yes, the law firm we are working with is in the SF Bay Area, they specialize in IP and business development. We have protected the IP in a multi-layer, nuanced manner, including patent work.
Maybe the hold-ups are related to the economic climate.
I know that in times of hardship, businesses get scared about doing anything new.
The most interested party has not been hurt badly by the recent economic developments. They saw it coming two years ago.
I really don’t understand the hold-up then.
Unless there’s some sort of outlandish government conspiracy of trying to stone-wall new technology that is potentially crippling to established energy industries
We don’t understand the hold-up either, but we just got through the holiday season. We expect an LOI soon.
maybe they’re just trying to hold out for a better deal. Waiting until you are desperate. Not a very honourable tactic, but one that can be used.
have you heard any feed back at all from them? They’re delaying for a reason and if it was me I’d want to know why before continuing. After all the longer they delay the longer it takes to develop and gain on their investment.
Yes, we correspond over email about once a week. We are not aware of any other party that has what we have, and we do know who else is working on this. (Of course, we can not claim to be aware of everything, but we do keep up on this in a keen manner.)
well if you have patented this correctly, then it doesn’t matter who else may be working on it, so long as your idea was patented first
