Are you looking for information on uploading an avatar or why you aren’t recieving notices on tags you’re subscribed too?

Unfortunately both of these features have been disabled until further notice. Looks like you’ll have to stick with your “letter of the alphabet” avatar. You can also Contact us with any other issues you have.

Opera was rendering wrong for me some time a couple weeks ago…. it’s fine now that I reinstalled it (and I think I have a lower resolution too.)

…but I’m pretty sure I reinstalled my whole operating system a couple times since then so I don’t know anything specific, sorry.

Does it matter that it only does this on Help? Everything else works fine and looks fine for me.

Firefox is slower than Opera and IE is a joke. It’s only doing it on Help so I’m not gonna change my whole browser for one site.

I just loaded Opera (version 9.6), and everything looks fine. I did have that specific problem sometime before and I’m fairly sure this is the most current version of the program I’ve ever had. Perhaps a search of the Opera communities would help.

So go back to 9.6? I’m running Opera 10.

Hm… I was thinking that if I had the problem you have now with this version or a previous one then it’s not that you have version 10 that is the problem… but new versions of things often have problems, or old ones come back up. Did you upgrade from an older version and suddenly start having problems?

I could try to replicate the error … do you have any addons or anything?

Yeah, I had 9.52 [I believe] earlier and read that 10 was faster. So I upgraded to 10. So fast… O.O And it worked for a while, but then when I came on Help I noticed that it does this half-white/half-black thing on the post pages.

Nope. No addons. I think the problem started when I did this change background color from: Tools>Preferences>Web Pages. I set the BG as black but it didn’t change any of the pages. So I put it back to white and now Help is effed lol.

You can look at the settings page at:

opera:config#Colors|Background

000000 is black, ffffff is white

Oh. So I’m guessing that 10 is the problem. Gonna go back down to 9.52 and try.

Yep, I went down to 9.63 and, even though it’s slower, I don’t have the black/white problem anymore. Thanks :).

If version 10 worked fine before you changed background colors around then it probably would again. (I think the speed difference might not be very measurable though.)

Yeah I might try again tomorrow, OR just wait until the beta version comes out.

As far as the speed goes… There’s this one site, called worldstarhiphop.com that has the nastiest busiest homepage ever. It’s digusting. My Opera 9.52 took 4-5 seconds to load it completely. Opera 10 took 2-3. All my other websites loaded almost instantly. Beautiful…

Can either of you help with that other computer question on the most recent posts? It’s some Windows thing that’s not difficult, but I don’t have Windows and it’s hard to remember… I did try to help you at least… even loaded up a different browser and stuff.

Help me fix Help…

On my browser. I don’t know what I did, but now when I look at pages on Help, half of the page is normal colored, but the other half of the page is black. It looks weird. What do you think happened?

If it helps, matters any, I’m using Opera 10, and I just upgraded to that earlier [when the problems started]. Also, it only effects Help.

Thanks in advance for *ANYONE’S* help. If you can’t help, oh well, thanks for reading.

~Nisa
