I have two things I really need to put out there.

The first is more important, at least to everyone here. I would really like to thank you for everything you have done. We studied depression in christain life class a little while ago and over the summer, I apparently had depression. I had all the symptoms at least, and that’s when I started coming here, and everyone helped me through it. That said, I am finding myself being less and less helpful on here, as my life is now back on track and pretty good. I am truly sorry, as it only seems appropriate that I give back after being helped through my tough times. I am just very busy right now with wrestling, school, and the girlfriend :). I know I couldn’t have gotten here without all of you and I can’t explain how grateful and sorry I am.

Second, tommorow is New Year’s Eve and my girlfriend invited me to come with her family to this japanese restaurant and then back to her house.. This isn’t really a problem, but I have never been to a japanese restaurant and it’s probably going to be very awkward sitting at a table with her and her family :/… Just looking for some more of the great advice I’ve gotten here.

Being the busy person that I am, I’ll only be here for a little bit while i clean my room, but then I gotta do stuff. Thanks!

Well, I’ll miss you. I hope you come back on from time to time to say hello. I’ll make my email address available to you, if you prefer that way. I’d like to hear how things are going for you.
Don’t worry about it, we all go through the same feelings regarding the site…apparently. ;-)

I’m sure Kathy has told her parents what a great guy you are, and they will be suitably impressed with you.
As the father of a daughter, I was impressed when her boyfriend could look me in the eye and speak clearly to me. I was also impressed when they had good manners and a good sense of humour.

As my daughter grew older…I looked more at the boyfriend for good breeding stock.

KIDDING!!

Have a great time, and be yourself.

All the best for a Happy New Year! Japanese…awesome!

Colin

well.. for one… im so happy that you are feeling at peace in your life.. that is awesome news… and im proud of you..
as for helping others… it is great to help others.. when you can… its not mandatory, its something you do with the kindness of your heart and isnt expected from you… so when you help.. its much appreciated and welcomed…
as for the restaurant.. just be yourself… dont be someone you arent… because if you pretend to be someone you arent.. who knows if they will like that person..
so be yourself.. and just enjoy the moment.. hugs.. and have fun.

sometimes we need to take before we can be expected to give back… there is a difference between people who take and refuse to ever give back.. and then there is those who take.. and after a little while, give back… a big difference. so take your time.. and give back when you are feeling ok to do so.. if that makes any sense.
well.. even if the brother and girlfriend are going to be there… you have to remember, you are not there to impress anyone.. its a dinner to have because the family is fond of you and wants to celebrate with you. they are fond of you because of who you are… not what they are expecting you to be… right? so be yourself… have fun and just enjoy the conversations and let it flow naturally.

but one word of advise… from a mother… lol.. with a child, they are precious… and i have seen it where my oldest daughter had brought a boyfriend home, only to sit there watching them make out non stop… NOT GOOD… although as a mom, i understand what its like to be a teenager and in love… kissing quick kisses is welcomed… but to actually be slobbering all over each other for a long time is really annoying and was getting to me until i stood up and actually had to say something…
so keep your tongue rolled back in your mouth not in hers… lmfao.. is all im trying to say.. lmfao..
