How can we verify this?

?? Ok, so my sister has this judgment on her credit record from 2 years ago. She had applied for an apt. 2 years ago, but the apt. complex denied her. So, she asked them if her boyfriend (at the time) could co-sign for her. They said they did not accept co-signers so her boyfriend (at the time) went on a lease agreement with her. So, because, it was his credit, that approved them for the apt, that made him the head of the household. On a lease there can only be one main signer, even for two people. So, they ended up moving without paying the rent, after living their 1 year, but they still owe money to that apt. complex. They went to court, and the monies owed was put on both of their credit records. Its well over 2 grand, my sister cannot afford to pay it off alone, but her ex (who is also the father of one of her kids) won’t help her pay it off. So, now she is trying to get another car. Noone will co-sign for her, (I can’t because my husband wont let me). The car company wants to give her the new car but they first want to verify who the head of household was or is for that debt?? how can they do this??

THEY can do so easily if both parties agree to allow their details to be reviewed (banks keep accurate records)

Just get a credit report (e.g. from Equifax)
