i dont want to be put on medication.

i think i may finally go see a professional. i know im depressed thats obvious but i dont want to be put on medication. im afraid it will numb me and im not as depressed as i used to be i mostly want to go to someone to help me deal with my family life. i used to cut and i was numbed from that. i dont want to lose myself. im too scared to go on medication i dont want to numb the pain i want to heal it. i know i can without medication i just need help.

There are ways to help depression other than prescription medications. Fresh air and exercise can help a lot. Just take a walk everday. The herb, Saint John’s Wort, seems to help some people, but you have to take it for a month before it starts to work. For my own depression, I have found a very strong multi-vitamin with lots of Vitamin D, that keeps my depression under control. Coral Calcium can also help. Good Luck!

If you go to see a professional, tell them that you don’t want to be put on medication. Chances are they will try it without medication first, but understand that if they put you on medication it is because they think it will help you.

silent meditation can help a little. dont look for a results but it will be given
