thanks

Robotics is a branch of mechanical or electrical engineering.
Robotics is the thing of the future.

Please see this:

realize in the above video it is extremely
difficult to make robots walk or run.
But Honda did it.

so i’m EE major and for a while i wondered about robotics also. Basically if you have a BS in ME , ECE or EE you can get a masters in robotics(which is just a narrower field concerning artificial intelligence and robots and such). it all really excitingg haha. hope that helps

Robotics is a very specialized inter-disciplinary field. If you are going to work in robotics, you should have a foundation in EE, ME, AI, or some other relevant field, and an idea of what role you want to play on a team of roboticists.

You might say that ME is to Robotics what Chemistry is to Molecular Biology, or what Physics is to Civil Engineering, or Economics to Finance. The more fundamental fields of study (such as Chemistry, Physics, and Economics in the examples) are broader overall, but the more specialized fields also draw from multiple other fields of study and have their own specialized bodies of knowledge.

Robotics is also deals with microprocessor and microcomputers and programming
and they used to control the mechanical movements of machine.

and mechanics mainly deals with mechanical processes i.e torque, turbines, engines, lathe machines, combution engines etc

thanks heaps i was wondering a lot about what specific things mechanical engineering does now, as i found out that, that’s what i will be learning this year. The list of jobs helped heaps, is it true that mechanical engineers can work almost any where where most engineers work as its a broad type of engineering? thanks

Robotic and mechatronic systems are complicated control systems that combine mechanical, electronic, and computer components such as motors, cameras, sensors, actuators, software, and data acquisition hardware. National Instruments offers affordable computer-based hardware and software that allows you to easily integrate motion, vision, control, and acquisition systems allowing you to both control and test your robotic or mechatronic system.
