like most larva stage creatures… to eat and grow larger. Eventually they pupate in the kidneys or liver for about 6 months, to emerge as the adult tapeworm…

Parasites ARE a form of a symbiotic relationship— called: Parasitism-When one species gains something(food, Shelter, etc.) while harming the other species in the process. In this case, the tape worm is gaining shelter in your intestine and gains food from what YOU eat. The human on the other hand would be the other species that is being harmed…
