Okay so i’ve been sort of seeing my ex-boyfriend again.

Before we started going out, we were really good friends for about 4 years and it wasn’t until 2 summers ago that we decided to go out. We ended up breaking up because our schedule and lives were so different from each other; I lived in a town an hour away from him and was always busy with school and volleyball, while he was busy with school and football. For about a year we started seeing different people, he had a new gf and etc. He went off to base training for 6 months, but during that whole period even while he was still going out with that cheap **** (lol sorry but it’s true, oh and btw they broke up 4 months ago), we texted all the time! He got back the week before christmas (so pretty recently) and we’ve been hanging out alot, calling each other late at night, staying up together. One night he came over to my house and we started wrestling, it was just like the old times when we were bf and gf. I couldn’t help myself but i just went ahead and kissed him. I felt horrified because i didnt think he’d have the same feelings towards me. Turns out he did and we kissed again. The next couple of nights we just kept hanging out together or I’d go over to his buddy’s house and we’d hang out there. Lately I’ve been feeling as though he doesn’t want to be with me, he’s always going out clubbing with his friends and never textes me back until hours later. And even when i want to hang out with him I’ll ask and he wont say anything back but later around like 1 a.m he’ll call me to do something.

I understand that he’s been gone for 6 months and hasnt seen his friends for a while, but i just dont know what to do. Plus i feel i need to spend as much time with him because he’ll be shipped off to Bahgdad in June for 15 months. He’s one of my best friends and i really love him..what should i do

Please help

It’s impossible to guess what’s going on with another person. You could try and ask him to honor your friendship and be honest about his feelings towards you. From personal experience, being honest with someone about your feelings for them takes a few painful lessons…I think most of us start out hiding our true feelings to spare the other person (especially a friend) but learn through heartache the better thing to do is to be honest up front.

Even though asking may or may not get you a true answer, ask anyway. It’ll give your gut more information to go with. Which can be hard to listen to when you want something bad enough.
