From a physiological and psychological standpoint, it becomes much easier to go through the process of quitting each time you attempt to. My best advice would be to not get discourage if you ‘break’. Let’s say you are determined to never ever smoke again, and 2-weeks later you break down and have 1. Certainly don’t give up and go out to buy a pack… accept that nobody’s perfect and continue your attempt to quit.

And, even if you do not quit, and go back to smoking… know that the next time you attempt to quit, it will be easier, and your odds of succeeding will be greater!

haven’t taken anything yet and have been trying for 7 days now but I gave in to temptation a couple of time and brought 2 packs of 10.

Be tough with yourself, keep busy, avoid situation where you used to smoke, find what triggers your smoking and replace it, I started playing tetris on my phone in situation and at times where I would have once smoked now I a pro, lol! I stopped just over three month ago, no nrt I’d tried that before it was will power that got me through if you need nrt(nicotene replacement therapy) I’d say the inhalator is the best, but everyones different! Good luck, you can do it, its just a matter of believing you can.

Also develop the “I am a non~smoker,” mentality.
‘want a cigarette’asks one dude
‘no i’m quitting’ ERROR
say ‘No I dont smoke!’ hehe its better.

Plus if you do slip up DONT BUY A PACK borrow one from a someone who smokes. And still after keep believing your a non smoker, who had a cigarette, Not a smoker whos not going to have a cigarette tomorrow/if you get my drift!

Yeah, it’s ******* hard :S
I’m on my 3rd week now, well 3 weeks and 1 day to be exact, it gets better after a while but every now and then the craving grips you and each time it does it feels stronger than the last..
What I find helps me at the moment is that nicoret gum, although the minty taste just doesn’t replace the nicotine, still, it helps.
Keep busy, avoid doing the things you would normaly do when smoking and expect to drink/eat and doodle ALOT lol

Get something healthy to snack on; the addiction to smoking is also in part an urge to do something with your hands and mouth in those times you would have been smoking.

i gave up on thursday at 3:30pm with patches and its now saturday at nearlly midnight and this is the hardest thing ive ever done.I didnt put a patch on today but that was really hard so i hate to put one on i do find it really hard but i just keep myself really busy and i know deep down its good for me and my kids and i smoked alot before i smoked roll ups so i could smoke 30 a day and im 22 years old and been smoking since i was 15 yrs old that really bad ive got no real bad health problems to give up bt=ut i know the way i was going they would happen one day soon.
Im taking one day at time and getting loads of jobs done around the house aswell.

To anyone who is giving up or thinking about it its great ive give up 4 nearlly 3 days and i feel great missing it alot but i feel amazed ive got the will power and in a month or so ill be off the patches aswell.

Pluss after 3 days the smoke smells nasty lol so that a bit off putting.

I am quitting too. I have been using the patches. I started running agian, which I like to do and realize I just cant do it when I am smoking. So thats a motivator for me. I go for a run every night now and its not as hard to breathe, I feel healthier
:D
