You will know when the time is right to separate them from their behaviour, they start to get more independent and the mother stops being so bothered about them. You will have loads of fun over the next 8 weeks though :)

Actually, I think it’s 4-6 weeks. 4 at the very minimum, better to wait for 6. It’s puppies that are 6-8 weeks. :)

To add, it pretty much just all depends on how well weaned they are, physically and psychologically. It’s still best to wait though, just to be sure.

Just keep them until they get too much for your home

I would’ve agreed more with Grace - I thought it was meant to be 6 weeks minimum.

Well, it’s a novel excuse to go clothes shopping I suppose.

I was in my pyjamas it was at the back of two am she started. Yeah i need new pjamas anyhow but my bed sheet was ruined. I thought she was due next week, I woke up with a strange meowin lifted my duvet and there was a kitten next to my foot! Then Leia took him on my lap and he started suckling! Then the next one came out it was such an awe inspiring experience! I’m so tired today but it was worth it!

Everything I have ever seen says 8 weeks but then we had to separate ours early both times our cat had litters as she didn’t want them and they turned out fine.

Wow its lucky you woke up! It is a great thing to watch

I was going to say 6 weeks. Oh, gosh, I’d be the horrible person taking them away too soon. I’m so ashamed.
