Am I the only person having problems with HTML tags?

I’ve tried using them in a couple of posts here but, basically, they’re farked.
There’s been a couple of posts I’ved tried to use them in and, both times, it’s like the text parser is ripping out the < symbols, which just kills the formatting.

To see what I mean, here's there first post: http://help.com/post/234285-im-kinda-going-out-with-this-dude-b#reply-46787 79
And here’s the second: http://help.com/post/230948-my-cats-pregnant-any-suggestions-fo#reply-4678 721

Anyone know what’s going on?

HTML doesn’t work in replies.

Then why does it work in the reply previews?

It’s a bit misleading.

Also, the FAQs do say that the HTML tags can be used in both posts AND replies: http://help.com/faq#sect21

I have no idea and yes it is misleading. HTML in replies has been disabled for several months now. I can’t remember why they did it though; you’d be better off asking a mod that question.

IF I knew who the Mods were, I would but I don’t, hence the post.

It doesn’t sound like a bug as a couple of people have both said it was deliberately removed.

If no-one knows why, then I suppose my next question is can it be reinstated?
If not, it would be a good idea to remove the bit in the FAQs that says we can use HTML and, also, make it so that it doesn’t work in the previews.

Thanks for taking the time to read this over and I hope I didn’t infringe on your lovely day too much.

In which case, may I suggest that the FAQs and the post preview system be adjusted to match?

How would I do that?

Yeah but I don’t know who the Admin is/are.
