ok me and my friend are trying to share my internet connection so we can both get online so heres the info.

i have a cable modem and a bridge but we cannot get online with both the pcs is it even possible?

dont know much about internet sharing but its a cable connection we are tryn to share no wireless

Buy a router. You can’t do it with just the cable modem the cable company gave you. The reason being is the cable company only gives you one IP address. A Wired Router allows more than one PC to get online with one IP address. Trust me I have tried this before at my house. My friend which is a network engineer at Hartford Hospital told me this is the only way. Buy a Router.

or a crossover cable, or wireless through addhoc might work also?

haha addhoc isnt too bad, as long as your not expecting to turn off your computer too much, it pretty much connects the 2 computers together wirelessly. i’ve never had ttoo much trouble with it, although i have to set it up like everyday lol

haha okay then fair enough, the easiest way would then be router, cheaper way i would think, would be through crossover cable.
