I’ve downloaded ad-aware and spybot search and destroy, but neither will let me install it.

My computer says that the administrator has disabled my privaleges. This is my computer and I was the only user until 01/01/09 when I started getting pop ups. I’m running win xp and it is my computer. Any ideas?
