How do black rappers talk to one another off camera?
Any ideas? I’m writing a story for my Master’s program and the story requires a scene in which one guy (kinda the lil’wayne type if I HAD to pick someone out there to compare him to) is trying to get his friend (idk . . more the . . Kanye West or P.Diddy type musician, less tats and nicer suits than lil’wayne type . . . -hides-) to come out of his room and talk to a police officer about something, but the guy in the room (kanye west/p.diddy) is upset and not scared to talk to the police, but knows he did it and feels really guilty because it was an accident. He didn’t mean to kill his best friend.
I know this sounds so racist . . . but really I don’t mean for it to sound that way. I’m asking this because everytime I write the scene I feel like my characters either sound boring or completely wrong, or sound WAY to ghetto and stereotyped . . .
