I actually have no web design experience… but I need to know where to find a job, than what job to find. Thanks Commander.
Have you tried the major online job sites for posting your resume online, like CareerBuilder.com?

yes. I have.
What kind of work experience do you have, and what kind of work are you interested in?
I understand that you are a graphic designer, I just mean more specifically what type of work are you looking to do within that broad category?

For the fashion companies, I’ve worked with in the past, I’ve created lookbooks, logos, hangtags, labels, cards.
I can create press kits, collateral design, packaging. I’ve done book layouts.
I’ve also created fashion art for teeshirts, hoodies, sweaters. Embroidery for jeans etc.
I’ve created technical packages for clothing manufacturers and vendors overseas.

Hmmm, I think your career is a little outside of what I am qualified to provide any specific advice on, although I can offer some general job seeking advice.
Are there particular companies you would like to work for? One tried-and-true strategy is to pick some good companies and target them with your cover letters and submitted work. I have done interviewing and reviews of applicant resumes before, and people who seem focused on what we are interested in are much more interesting than people who seem to be willing to do anything.
Have you done freelance work, and are you able to do some of that while you are job hunting? Busy people are usually more attractive, and if you have a gap in employment most people will ask you in an interview what you were doing during that gap.

There are some companies, I can think of that i’d be interested in applying directly.
I have tried that strategy before with limited success, but I’ll use it to send out more work… my fear is that my work might also be plagiarized.
I am doing freelance work. but it’s not nearly enough to cover my expenses. I’m doing some networking to find better freelance gigs, but nothing is really biting.
Thank you though for your advice.
