help-flash player.

when i logged onto my laptop, a box came up saying do you want to update flash player (this was not unusual, my laptop regularly tells me of updates) so i clicked continue, and it installed quickly, and then said to complete it restart it, which i did. After that, i went on youtube to watch some music videos, and i couldnt, because it wouldnt show up. It said about flash player so i clicked on the link that said get the latest flash player. Ive tried to install it many times, but it doesnt work and now i cant watch videos on youtube! can anyone help me?
