Gift ideas for Mom’s 45th birthday?

Kinda a depressing age for a woman to reach, and I’m really the only family she’s got, so I’d like to do something special. Any ideas?

What ever you do…don’t buy her ANY age-reduction creams! My mum always says she’d hate to get that!

What about a voucher for a spa weekend?

I got a massage voucher from my ex last april it was something I would have never thought of getting myself, it was one of the best gifts I ever got, i’d never had a massage before.

So I like the spa idea or somewhere that does massages even just a day trip.

Well, I’ve gotten her a massage before, and I’d like to do it again, because she needs one, but I’d like do do something really special. I’m willing to spend a few hundred dollars.

Like a ski trip, drive to the coast for whale watching, or a hot air balloon ride. Something like that.

One year for my mom’s birthday, I got her front row tickets to a performance of Phantom of the Opera, and took her out to dinner beforehand. Throw a massage in there in the early afternoon, and she’d be in bliss.

That’s cool, but we’ve seen it together already. Not front row tickets though. It was great. We’ve also been skiing, whale watching, gone to spas and taken a hot air balloon ride, lol. Dunno what to do. I would take skydiving but she doesn’t want to.

find some box, and write/type on 45 slips of paper 45 differnt things your thankfull for from her. I did that for my dads 50th b-day. Example: Thank you for packing my lunch everyday, thank you for taking me skiing. stuff like that….

I got her:

iPod Shuffle (to run with), and $15 for iTunes
2.1 speakers for her laptop (had none)
A custom-ordered wheat-free chocolate cake (she’s allergic)
A 90-minute massage
And I took her out to the movies. (21 friggin bucks!) We saw Milk.

Not at all epic, but passable, IMO. Thank for your help, everyone. :)

I always try to pick a unique and special gift for my friends and loved ones. I found this great site — http://my-song.ca/s/ano1! You go on and make a personalized song — I did it for my husband’s anniversary gift. I had a great time putting the song together. It’s completely personalized, and so cute! It’s something I know he won’t forget for a long time. Great site, thanks for the ideas!

my mother would always like to get a massage, and maybe a nice dinner @ maybe olive garden, a drive-in movie then, for the rest of the day peace and quiet. 3
