I’ve read it. But it’s not my homework. What does it mean?

Exothermic is something that emits heat. The opposite is endothermic. It is most commonly found in chemistry classes, where reactions are classified as endothermic or exothermic. In other words, if a reaction is endothermic, it takes in heat (or energy) and if it’s exothermic, it gives off heat.

So, to put it in a sentence, “The poo was steaming from exothermic energy.”

Essentially, yes! Even simpler: The poo was exothermic.

I don’t think the poster learned anything but a free answer to a homework question, but there’s always the terms part of the exam that will trip her up.

Or maybe the steaming poo example is exactly what she needed.
