quick.

i need a few reasons why europe(specifically britain) should have been able to have trade rights with the chinese who didnt like them in the 1700s when the opium wars took place. put yourself in the position of a british merchant…. pleaseee. this was suppossssed to be a group project and its due tomorrow.

to be quite honest the Poms fed the Chinese enough Opium. I think the Poms were the biggest drug dealers the World has ever seen and on top of that the biggest Slave Traders and on Top of that they had Homg kong i believe over 150 years. It was just like a Milking Cow For Great Brittan. On top of that lucky for the Chinese or sensible enough they had a written Contract otherwise Hong Kong would have still belong to the Poms…

barbyman- oh boy… that didnt make any sense to me… who were the Poms?
im not pro Brit but i have to act like i am for this paper, although there are so many more reasons that they shouldnt have rights to trade.
im so screwed.. :(

btw people, im only 16 so layman’s terms would be great.

you have to understand I’m German and a German calls an Englishman a Pom.Now Chinese are very difficult People to deal with But once they have your Trust well china is your Oyster in Business and it will be for the next 50-100 Years.Everybody is lining up to make Deals with China.But China has not forgotten how England treated them over the last Century .Its like, they will not make it easy for Brittan.
