I tried to fry one in peanut oil, but it was not really that great.

I have had them fried in peanut oil and they where great, but I’ve also seen them done horribly. My favorite way to do it is roast it filled with onions, peppers and garlic and drenched in Chardonnay. Wrap the whole bird in bacon to help keep it juicy. Place it in an oven bag and stick it in the oven for about 20 minutes per pound.

My dad grills his turkey. It’s awesome every year and it is so much fun to go outside and look at the turkey.

deep fat fried in a turkey fryer or smoked in a smoker are the best ways in my opinions that way the meat is most moist, and if you like the dark meat the most, wild trkey is the way to go
