I HATE MY HAIR!

Firstly, I had long thin light brown hair then I got some quite nice hightlights and lowlights. Then I got obsessed with purple hair, I dyed it so many times semi-permenant and then thought hey why not do it permenant?

So I did…and it was pretty rad :D

But then the school made me change it so I dyed it a dark brown and it went jet black, its been like it for 4 months and I hate it, I just want to be able to dye it again but Im afraid because its so weak and thin it’ll fall out.

What can I do?????

Plus, its gets really greasy and my fringe gets all gappy, Ive tried so many things but I dont know what do do with ittt.

Thanks :D:D

you should trim it. it’ll grow faster if you get it trimmed regularly. grow your natural hair out. other that that i wouldn’t know. ive never dyed my hair in my life.

the absolute best hair care products I have ever found are made by a company called Image. I had to have 13 surgeries in 3 years and all the meds and all the anesthesia darn near killed my hair. I was ready to shave my head and start over until I started using Image Intrakera conditioner when I washed my hair and used Image Intrapak once a week. Within 6 months my hair had grown almost 10″ and it is full and thick again. You should be able to find it on Ebay. That is where I get mine.

That is called Mane and Tail. They sell it in most beauty supply stores now. I remember going to the Feed supply store when I was a teenager and getting it there.

You need to get it trimmed, to cut off all the fried/split ends.
Then you need to deep condition it for awhile.

Also, I recommend using a leave-in conditioner every day, and get some type of heat protecting spray if you straighten or curl your hair.

Since you have died hair, it would be best to get a shampoo and conditioner that is made for processed hair.

I know you hate your hair, but the more damage you do ..the harder it will be trying to get it feeling and looking nice again. I’d hold off on dying it anymore as of now ..and just work on trying to get it ‘healthy’.

As for your bangs/fringe getting greasy ..it’s more than likely caused by the oils on your face. Once you get out of the shower and fix it, spray it with hairspray. That’s a tip a lot of people use when they have bangs in front ..the hairspray keeps the bangs from absorbing the oil on your forehead.

Another thing you could try is baby powder.

Cheaper shampoos like Pantene Pro-V have silicone in it. Silicone is used to ‘hide’ hair that is damaged. It coats your hair so that it appears shiny but in the long-term damages your hair and dries it out; since your hair is covered in silicone, this places a barrier that doesn’t let moisture penetrate your hair, much like a water-proof jacket.

You can try something like Burt’s Bees, Redkin, Aveda, Lush, etc.
