Ok so I found this site and hope it was a blessing.

My family and I are having problems because I was in a car accident a year and a half ago and lost my job and benefits since. I have been undergoing treatments but it has hardly helped the pain. We have 3 children and can not even afford the simple things. It makes me feel bad. I wish I could go out and get a job and help out with the finances. I hurt so bad and am on meds that make me tired. I just don’t know what to do anymore. If you could help prayers, blessings, financially, or encouraging words I would greatly appreciate anything.

You might also look into doing bookkeeping from home.

Yes we have contacted a lawyer but nothing has happened yet. I am paying for a vehicle that was totaled out. We call it our imaginary car. Trying to keep a sense of humor in all this. His insurance company would not pay for the full amount remaining on the loan so Im not expecting much for compensation either. For the person that suggested bookkeeping from home. How do you go about that. I have also looked into work from home jobs. I can not sit too long before I have to lay down. I would not rule an at home job out though. Anything to help my family out.

In August 2004 my husband and I were on our Harley and we were hit in the side by an SUV. Needless to say it really hurt, lol I know where you are coming from. Not sure what the law is where you are but where I am you have only 2 years to file a claim with the courts. Get onto your lawyer and make sure he has filed all that. As far as pain goes, I was left unable to walk without crutches, I can’t sit up for very long and standing in place is out of the question. Do you have any kind of health care system where you are? See if you can use that to get into a pain clinic. Working from home, google medical transcription. It pays by the line so you can make as little or as much as you need/can stand to make.

Our wreck was over 4 years ago and we are just now getting out heads above water financially. I still have a few surgeries to go and I will never walk, but where ever there is a will there is way so hang in there and just keep trying your best.

Thank you for the encouraging words. I have been to a pain clinic (2 of them actually) I see a nuero. Everything that has been suggested is temporary fixes. I was told that there is not much they can do for a cervical injury. Just maintenance mainly. I’m sorry that you have had to go through what you have as well. It puts whats important in life into perspective. I will check out the medical transcription online. We have been told about the 2 year to file. Im not sure what our lawyer is doing. The accident was in 2007. I hope all goes well with your surgeries. Keep in touch please. Thanks again!

Sorry it took so long to get back to you, had to go to the eye doc.

Yeah, cervical injuries are terrible. Mine is all from my hip down but there is a lot of nerve damage so I can sort of relate. I have to go see a Neurologist next month myself and I am dreading it. If you can type decent you can make some pretty good money doing the transcription. I was making 15 cents a line and could do 1000 lines in half an hour. I had to quit because I just can’t sit up more than an hour at a time. Hope you feel better and can find some work ! keep in touch.
