I need money help so I can get on my feet and repay the loan
I’ve been given an offer to work for a sailing club in Australia, but to get an Australian working holiday visa to to do this, the Australian government requires that you have atleast 4500 Australian dollars (£2000) in your bank account. Being an ex university student my bank balance is about -£2000 , so I would need about £4-5000 pounds to be able to get to Australia to pay off the debt. I phoned my bank, alas they said I need to have an income of about £700 a month to get a loan, and I’m on benefits with bad health. My hope was that I could get some sunshine (I haven’t had sunshine in 4 years), fresh air, get my health back, work a job, pay of a loan and get on my feet. At the moment I’m stuck here with no future, going nowhere, and my health and happiness is fast going down the toilet. Anyone got any ideas?

You may have to be in the US, but you can look into prosper.com.
steve, sorry if I caused offence.
i’ve done both family and professionals, I’m new to help.com so I apologise if I’ve gone about it wrong
Join the UK military, Matt. You may get posted to Afghanistan, and it’s very warm there in the summer. No, I’m serious!
I don’t wanna die
I can’t get a job here, lord knows I’ve tried, rather I should be asking if anyone knows of any job vacancies
I already sold my laptop which got me £250, I’ve been lent this old slow computer from my dad
I’m out of things to sell is what I’m saying, I possess next to nothing to sell to raise funds, but thanks for the idea
M-i-l-i-t-a-r-y. Prince Harry did it!
steve, I would need help in understanding what off the radar means exactly, sorry I don’t have much knowledge and/or experience regarding visas and staying in other countries

I don’t want to kill people, or be killed. I despise war, so you can imagine how I’d feel about participating in it.
Right you are . . . but they are hiring when everyone else isn’t! ;-)
steve - you mean go to Australia on a holiday, but not return and find work? To go on holiday there you need a holiday visa, and if you don’t return within the time limit, surely they will look for you? I would stick out like a sore thumb with my english accent lol
on a similar note, does anyone know how I can learn an Australian accent for cheap lol
true, I’m gonna think about that idea, thanks
no kidding, I was just about to tell you something that I did which was exactly that, but I have a suspicion that my dad monitors my internet activity (he’s a computer knowitall in charge of the internet connection), and I don’t want him reading what it was I did so I’ll leave it to him to read this probably and ponder in his imagination what it is lol
too old to be living at my parents, 24. I can assure you I do not want to be turning 25 in their house, hence my massive plans
ok I’ve decided I’m making another thread, to look for a job

what are your interests, are you male/female, any goals, beliefs?
Get some exercise, some fresh air - walk up a mountain! And get a job!!! Save your money and then go to Australia!
I’ve tried and keep trying, I can’t get a job
Oh hell, just what we need - another whinging pom!
Get a job.
Earn, yes, earn, some money.
Pay for a trip and p-l-e-a-s-e leave when your visa is up.
