i have a blue sweater with fur in the hood and when my dad washed it the fur turned a little blueish.

How do i fix that ?

Just goes to show, never send a man to do a woman’s job. Kidding, people.

But seriously, you could try to bleach just the fur so it will go back to it’s original color (if it was white, of course) but then if it’s artificial fur (which I hope…) the bleach might ruin the material.

Other than that, that’s the only suggestion i have really. Just if you do decide to go the bleach route, be careful none gets on the rest, or you’ll have some pretty splotchy sweater material that CAN’T be fixed.

thanks yeah it is fake fur and yeah its a really nice sweater so i hope it does ok. will the bleach cause the fur to discolor?

Well, if it’s white fur, it should just turn back to white, but being that it’s fake, I would dilute the solution a little so it doesn’t eat away at the fibres.

Just be careful not to let the solution go to any other colored parts. I did that with my favorite Nike sweatpants a few weeks ago when cleaning my house by just getting it on my fingers and touching my clothes, and the grey spots where the bleach settled are now pink. Lol. So just be extra careful, or put something over the rest so just the fur is sticking out for you to bleach it.
