Depending on where you’re going to school. Some colleges require you to take at least 12 units or credits before you are considered full time. Other schools require you to take at least 15.

Typically 12 hours a semester but you should take 15 because you want 30 a year (30=1 year college). So if you only take 12 hours a semester you would have to take 6 hours over the summer.
