Unemployment help: I finished a Ph.D. - Help.com

I finished a Ph.D.

but do not want to teach. I’ve been taking steps into a new field for the last 2 years, but have not yet been able to secure a full time position. The main problem is always my lack of formal training in the area. Some have suggested I continue and do a masters. Others say that that idea is crazy, especially since it would have to be financed by me. At the moment I am struggling to find employment and am considering all options, even administrative jobs. It has made me very depressed, and I don’t know how to cope with it. I’ve been talking to people, applying for everything, but still no luck. What can one do in this situation?

What’s the Ph.D. in? So many research jobs require a Ph.D., like every BioTech research job I happened to glance upon one day in the newspaper.
