How can you find some friends in your own area, and age?

I am 46, live in southern suburbs of Minnesota, it’s freezing cold out, i can’t afford much entertainment lol…Being unemployed, but would be nice to have some friends, real friends, to hang with…play cards etc…

I don’t drink alcohol…and i am far from being any hottie lol..

Most of the time, i play an online role-playing game called KalOnline…or read 1 of my many sci-fi books, or play with my cats, or sleep…

Try http://www.meetin.org/. It is intended for finding friends, not dating, and it is free. I haven’t used it myself, but I have met a number of cool people through it indirectly. There seems to be a slight but not overwhelming bias in the pool of members toward people who work with computers and like online activities (including MMORPGs), so your odds of finding people with some common experiences or interests is fairly good, and you will undoubtedly meet other types of people as well.
