finance help: I’m looking for an answer. - Help.com

I’m looking for an answer.

I have a property valued around a $1,000.000.00. I have worked my entire life for this very unique property.

This economy has taken its toll financially and admittedly I was focused to long on trying to make it work as it existed as opposed to considering change, so it is possible I may lose everything I have worked for.

This is an ideal property; location, size, you name it, it is perfect. I have an idea to save it, to turn the business around, but it will take an investor or investors to make it happen. I need a backer; a person or persons with vision and some guts. We would all make a handsome profit as well as be a tremendous asset to the community.

Your first question is why not sell it? There are many, not the least of which is I am emotionally attached and I would be happy to go into further detail with interested and qualified parties.

How do you reach someone without going through a mile of red tape? Anybody have any ideas?

Why hasn’t Donald Trump or someone like him invented a game like this for reality TV? Besides entertaining, it would boost the economy and do some real good for the parties involved!

Well in the UK we have a program on TV called Dragon’s Den. Which potential business propositions are chucked at them and they can either accept or deny these. Obviously wanting equity or whatever…

That would be great if I were in the UK but am in the States. Thanks though.

I am a Land Planner and Landscape Architect with about twenty five years of experience planning projects for developers on large parcels of land. I have worked for some of the premium firms in the country, if not the world. If you do not have a program, and some sort of land analysis and optimally a preliminary idea about some development concept, it would be of great benefit for you to have one. This is how you package your “ideas” to present to investors, banks, etc. If you don’t complete your ‘do diligence’ work up front, people will not take you seriously.
