I agree with lucif. India has too many organizational problems within the country itself (most of which stem from overpopulation and outstretched resources) to legitimize itself at the current time as a true “superpower”. For example, if we’re using military capability as one measure of superpower status, India has one huge factor influencing and restricting geopolitical decisions: Pakistan. Until India figures out how to deal with Pakistan India will never be considered a superpower. Instead, India will remain a great land mass which is home to a very large proportion of the earth’s people with a wonderful heritage and a great culture of wisdom and spiritual knowledge. Not half bad, but nothing super about it.

I don’t think it would be in India’s best interests to become a Superpower. Now an economic power would benefit it greatly.

China is currently in a great position to become a superpower. But they will not enjoy that status once they have it. I wish America wasn’t a superpower. I hate keeping the world “safe for democracy” I’d rather just stay home and raise my kids.

What do you mean they won’t enjoy it?

“with great power comes great responsibility”

America was a much more peaceful place prior to WW2. Now Americans die all over the world “protecting democracy” every single year.

China will find its own issues trying to “influence” the world with its own brand of superpower potency

I admire your ability to be part of something greater than yourself. Thank you for fighting on behalf of all of us back here and every person who desires safety across the globe. Keep up the good work and be safe now.

BUTTTT… I don’t want to sound like a complete jackass, but it was not safe in America before WW2.

LoL
It wasn’t “safe” anywhere in the world back in the old days compared to modern tech etc…
I am very much away of american history (or history in general) that was my major in College. I don’t miss american isolationism in its entirity but I do miss the days when america didn’t stick its nose in everyone else’s business. If the world wants a global police force / military that keeps the peace across the world then it should create one and place it under the control and command of the UN. No one nation should control such a force and no one nation should dictate to the rest of the world how everyone has to behave and live their lives.
Sweet dreams and have a wonderful day tomorrow!
