I think I have an infected computer,can you help?

I am sure I have an infected computer. it’s driving me mad as I am not very “au fait” with the **** thing. I have a virus programme telling me I have a trojan horse and other cookies and things yet my aol says no,alls ok! When I download macaffe to do a scan it says it cant finish the installation. I am really baffled am I being conned or nieve?Am so unsure,any advice would be marvellous. Many thanks in advance,Fiona

Can you provide a little more information? When you say that an anti-virus program is telling you that you havea virus, which anti-virus program are you using? This might help determine if it’s advice is trustworthy.
